Windshield cracked!!
Hey everyone. I bought my titanium silver 325i on july 7th, and I already put 2200 miles on it! isnt that crazy??? i love this car. Thats why ive been doin so much driving. But anyway, i have a crack on my windshield now due to a stupid semi that passed on the opposite side of the freeway. First it was a ding, then it eventually spread from the bottom of my windshileld and up. its about 3 inches long so far, and still growing. Anyone know where I can get it fixed or replaced? Is it possible to seal the crack before it keeps getting longer? I would prefer the OEM windshield. Does BMW replace windsheilds? And finally, do you think the warranty might cover it? Shoot, i havent paid the first monthly bill on it and now I have this expense to take care of. Hope you guys can help. This forum is awesome!
heres a few pics of my car |

Nice neighborhood!
Some insurance companies have an option for zero deductible on glass damage. It obviously raises your premiums but I would look into it and see if it makes sense for you. I have had MANY stones hit my windshield and have had 2 repairs in the last 6 years. The next stone might be unrepairable and with the cost of OEM windshields you might consider this coverage.

Do you not have comprehensive glass coverage on you auto insurance policy? should be $0 deductible. I doubt it would be under warranty, not a defect. BMW probably has a recommended glass shop in your location or they may let them come to the dealership and do it if you prefer. Good luck!

if the crack is less than 2 inches most glass companies can fix the windshield, if not then the whole thing needs to b replaced.
