Looks like the guy did launch control while turning right out of an intersection. "Fishtail hahaha" - on a public road?
No. Retard.

Still, it means he just stopped in the middle of a main road just to do launch control. I'm sure he could've waited till a red light or gone to a quite street.

Does anyone know what that small button is just under the stalk for the windscreen wipers? It's on the actual steering column and looks like a picture of the steering wheel.

Thanks for sharing. I wasn't expecting the Launch Control to rev-launch so high at 3500rpm. The driver actually commented that this caused a fish-tail so I'm wondering if this was actually a clean/perfect launch. Based on this, I'm doubtful that LC will ensure the fastest times in a straight line every time.

Yup - that's the steering wheel adjustment switch.

High? M3 launches at 5500rpm but you can adjust up or down in 500rpm increments. I haven't had the balls to try it yet.

Mate, I don't think many Australians would go for the heated steering wheel option!

The N55 is very similar to the N54 in terms of torque delivery, and BMW claims it actually comes in 100rpm earlier. If I rev-launced at those rpm's I would be struggling to keep the car in line and I'd fish tail everywhere. It's a lot of pressure on the tranny and I doubt it would give me the best launch. The most I launch around is 2,000rpm

Seems like anyone wanting to take advantage of this is going to want to buy a decent set of tyres.
