Plastidip + Beer

I bought a bunch of plastidip last night, never used it wanted to try a few things. I don't know what to think about it yet... Does it cheapen the look of it? Had too much beer to do the grill, maybe tonight? I don't know if I should keep, does it make me look like I am still in high school?

I did the fin, mirrors, the lower bumper, 135I, and the lip.

I was thinking roof but that may be a big project for the spray cans. I was actually thinking of just doing the strips where the roof rack gets mounted.

IMO Fin will look odd unless you do the roof. Vinyl will probably be a better route to go for that. Doing the spoiler lip is an interesting choice, would be tied in better if the grilles and roof was done too. Rest of it looks great.

I think there is something missing, the 3rd brake light looks out of place. I was just playing around with the stuff with my neighbor, I didn't know it was that easy.
The fin actually looks decent (I think), if I had the right angle. with the sun roof it isn't too bad.

Well thing I notice is that your 3rd brake light is a red horizontal line, and your trunk lip is a black horizontal line. White trunk in between makes a white horizontal line. Makes it seem blocky. Performance style spoiler would fix this.

So easy, tape news paper around it giving you about 3 inches away from the numbers, spray a few coats on, let it dry 20 minutes and peel the dip away carefully. The gaps between the numbers and the body are large so the dip will wrap around the numbers when you are pulling the excess off. The stuff is easier to work with than I thought...

I was thinking about doing the whole license plate area black too, maybe it would look cool. You can test to see what looks good and what doesn't.

Good part about it, it just peels off if you don't like it.

Looks good. Definitely do the kidneys - I did mine first. And I would remove it from the spoiler, it's just too small and looks out of place being black. Get one of the ebay $88 performance style in black and it looks great. I have CF but I think I'm going to dip it soon (clear is yellowing). Also not a fan of the black mirror caps

I took everything off,I'm just going to do the grills. Too nice of a car to spray plastic on it. If I'm going to do something I'm going to do it right.

Looks great so far! I think a big factor is the prep and methods used to apply the plastidip. I've seen some applications that weren't properly prepped and masked, and the application wasn't even. So the lesson for me is to be very careful with the prep and application.
