Mats

Which mats would you get if you can pick which one you can get for free? Carpet or all weather?

The all weathers look nasty, and you can get them cheap anywhere and substitute them for when the weather is bad, but have those lovely carpet ones for normal days...

Got both. It came with the all-weather ones from the factory. Bought the velour mats from the dealer.
The all-season mats are a must here for winter driving.

Good choice. They have the BMW lettering on the driver's side mat too.

Someone on this board recommended the all-weather mats to me, and I was a bit skeptical, but I really like them. I thought for sure I would like carpet better, but now I am glad I got the all-weather ones. They stay put and they really protect the interior. They look great with Black interior (especially with Aluminum trim). I really like my all-weather mats. Sorry to buck the trend here.

I always use the all weather mats because I fear carpet ones are hard to clean

I might consider just trying out the carpet though. Can you wash them on a machine?
