Help with front bumper mesh!
Okay last weekend I installed the OEM BMW Performance High Gloss Grills. They look awesome! However, my lower mesh covering for my front bumper does not match... Is there a way to remove it and spray paint it high gloss black to match the kidney grills? Mine are dull black. AND is the gloss black just any high gloss spray paint or does it have to be specifically a certain type of paint/paint color?
On a side note there are other small plastic pieces on the front bumper that I would also like to paint by the fogs. Are those removable too? I have a 128i 2009. Thanks!

Damn! That is exactly what I was afraid of. I believe there to be several clips behind it too... looks like a project! I believe that taking off the bumper and doing it the "right" way would take as/almost as much time as taping around the area and spraying it (endangering the area around with paint).

What type of paint are you using? Lol I'm just thinking abt laying plastic, double layer all over my bumper with painters tape and lightly spraying the bottom mesh. Lol I know, completely dumb but it's the easiest one to do

Any spray paint will do. Make sure its whatever color/grade you want and it will stick to the plastic. I ended up also wrapping the small grills since they wouldn't come out and I didn't want to break the clips behind them. So if you want to go that route instead of taking the big one out you can see how I did it
Wrote up a short DIY. No pics but describes it fairly well. I used the method of NOT taking the bumper off since its a pain and there are like 36-40 screws and you have to take apart the wheel well.... Hope it helps! Found that my way was easier. Haha no I have beige leather not red. I will try and take pics when I can of the gloss black grills. It's not too noticeable... But it's one of those things that does bother me! It was a shade duller...

This is why you get the flat black kidney grills, so they match the lower grills...

I think the flat black looks ugly. There is no eye catch at all. Looks like its just faded black... Gloss black is 100% better
