Tires...Again....
Anyone here running or have experience with these tires:
BF Goodrich G-Force General Exclaim UHP Yokahama S. Drive Hankook Ventus V12 My 135i has the Sport package So I'm looking at 225/40-18 (Front) 255/35-18 (Rear). I need handling, wet traction, good looks...in that order. I know everyone likes the Dunlop Star Specs but they are out of my range at the moment. These seem to be in my price range and the ratings are very good for them. Wanted some real world comments.

I've owned 3 sets of General UHPs on 3 different cars... Keep in mind they are an all season tire wheras the other three you listed aren't.
For me their performance has been very good in all kinds of weather wet/dry/snow. They probobly won't come close to the summer performance tires you listed, but if you are looking for only 1 set of tires to run all the time, they are definitly worth a look. |

Can you show or point me to pics of your car with the Hankooks on it?
Thanks, Ted

I put Yokohoma S Drives on my E46 and I think they are great. I will probably get these after I burn through my 2 sets of RE'11's as they are much more economical.

I have the yoko s-drives... i think they are OK. After a little bit of spirited driving they start to give out IMO. Much sooner that t1r's and many other tires I have owned. I got them at a steal from tire-rack, but i dont think i would buy them again. Its either better to find a near-mint used set of BETTER tires, or save up. Its the best investment! Tires have horrible resale so take advantage of that!
for example...i would grab berks rears http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=380354 grab the 2 rears for 350 (make an offer) and grab 2 fronts from elsewhere. tires just get worn out anyway!

Thanks everyone. I think from all that I've read the Hankooks are the way to go.
I'm very curious as to how they'll ride and handle compared to the OEM run flats.

noisy tires are a bummer...i experienced noisy tires a couple times in my driving history and NEVER again, i especially do not like humming tires....the only thing i want to hear on my BMW is the engine and performance exhaust....even in the winter with the glorious heated seats( one of my FAVORITE options) i open the windows quite a bit to hear my car roar!!
