Un-flame surfaced.
I straightened the door/rocker line just to see what it would look like. Looses a little bit of character, in my opinion. Like Barbara Streisand with a nose job

Interesting. To me it looks almost exactly like an E46 coupe when you remove the flame surfacing

What? No belly sag?
If it didn't have the belly sag, I might as well buy a 335i. I love that subtle belly sag. Gives me the impression that the car's got GUTS!! Ha Ha!!!

Proves that the designers know what they're doing. The car would become slightly forgetable without the flame surfacing.

the side profile looks like a bloated shark, w/that color. You can even see the gill lines behind the front fender well. LOL

I like it.
Makes the car look less stubby.....not that I'm complaining about the "real" look.

You, sir, are no Chris Bangle (or Vanderdonk). Pass.
+1 for Pot Belly! This reminds me of the flaccid design 'language' of Lexus/Infiniti or, worse, the previous generation Ford Taurus. |

I think it's too straight. The prominent high character line along the car's shoulders really needs something contrasting in the lower flanks.
IMO, straightening out the "pot-belly" actually makes the sides appear heavier, taller, and more slab-sided. Ironically, the pot-belly makes the eye "accept" the shorter proportions of the E82. |
