TCKline Ride Height Adjuster Question
How do they work? Its just a single ring around a threaded pipe, how does the ride height stay consistent?
Also the springs that came with the TCK kit are larger than the supplied ride height adjuster. |

While I have no clue, you should e-mail Harold at HP Autosport on the forum. He may be the foremost expert on this and suspension setups on our cars, plus, TC Kline is actually in the same building as HP Autosport in Santa Barbara as I learned when they did my suspension install.

And why won't it move? There's no second locking ring, its just threaded on.
Why doesn't spring movement spin the perch? Also, the perch inner diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the spring, it has 5mm of play. |

The idea is that when the weight of the car is on them, the threaded collar will not move. Various sellers of the TCK adjusters say they can be used with both 60mm and 2.5" springs. 60mm (internal diameter) springs are likely to be a better fit, and 2.5" springs will be slightly looser.
I looked at this option before, but ended up buying the HPA adjusters instead. The HPA product was easier for me to purchase as an international order. |

But the spring moves. It turns as its loaded and released. Why doesn't that movement spin the perch?
And why doesn't the perch make positive contact with the entire top of the spring? |

Are you sure its not a 2.5" spring? On the TCK website its listed as a 2.5" spring for the rear.

So that explains all of the play, so options:
Find a 60mm spring. Find a 2.5" spring perch. Machine an adaptor I'm kind of upset that this isn't matched properly from TCKline. Its not a cheap kit and I expected better from something so highly recommended. Last edited by BrokenVert; 05-30-2015 at 02:06 PM.. |
