Square Setup
Hey guys, is anyone out there running a square setup? I want to run 18-8.5's all around and throw a 245, or even 255 if possible all around. How much work is necessary to make this setup fit? As of now my car is stock height, but it will be lowered at Christmas. I would LOVE for this setup to work, I just need a little insight before I pull the trigger on wheels. Thanks!!!!!

You will need camber plates. This will also help with the under steering problem. Look into vorshlag camber plates. Plates installed will run you around $800 plus alignment

I am running 18x8.5 et 42 all around, but put 235-35s on them. Next set I am going to a 235-40 as it opens wide the selection of tires. Right now I am running Continental Extreme Contact DW and I like them just fine, but want to run some Pilot Super Sports when these wear out. A buddy just bought a set and I hear good things about them.

I run a 17x8 et40 square setup with 245 starspecs all around.
I needed to do a tiny bit of trimming in front, but I'm not running any camber, much to my chagrin. And 8.5 et40 needs a bit of fender work and camber plates to fit a 245 or 255. PM member Lubo, he runs a 255 starspec square setup on 8.5 et40 wheels at autox |

I am running 18x8.5 et 38 with 245 yoko sdrives.
Vorshlag camber plates up front and fender roll in the rear. Get a slight rub on some bumps with the right rear. Stock ride height. |

I'm running the OE rear 261M wheels in front with a 10 mm spacer. It looks very nice. You will need extra camber to run the wider tires though.
