But you need a guy who's comfortable tuning and who will engage with speakers he's probably not familiar with. I guess the caveat I'm going to pass along is that you've done a DIY sort of thing but you aren't owning the project. Wondering who does. |

sub enclosures are more like $200 for something custom. you could do it yourself for $50 in materials and 2 hours work. i listed prices from the links you provided man lol. it's not even going to be in the top 1%, nowhere near. the sub is bottom level midrange, possibly middle midrange in terms of quality. price reflects this, you can grab it for around $200 easily. every single one of the speakers are middle low end to upper low end at best. the only thing i can recommend out of that list is the bitone, which is an incredible bit of kit. just the rest of the setup.. well the entire rest of the setup pretty doesn't even cost as much as the processor alone? a $300 3way front stage barely scratches low-end. ED: 2-3 packs of http://www.amazon.com/Dynamat-10455-...8516498&sr=8-1 or even something cheaper (sTp or roadkill or something) is a must in any system, low or high end, by the way... i noticed you didn't list any deadening. enough to do your front doors and boot floor/lid as said, the biggest issue you're going to have with a fully active setup like this (you know what that means right?) is that without crossovers set for a specific set of paired speakers, tuning is going to be a MAJOR pain in the ass. and has to be done perfectly, or it WILL sound worse than even *cheaper* speakers. Congrats OP. Sounds like you put a decent system together. Like VP said, it's all in the tune.'
BTW, not sure if I have ever seen so much bad and flat out wrong advice in a single short thread like this one...not sure what you did to attract that!

re the bad advice: Haha I know right?
The guy who tuned the car is a professional musician and claims he was the first person to tune BitOnes in the United States. He did a hell of a job.
