Bmw 1m rear tire rubs raising options please!
So I went very aggressive with the back rim offsets 9.5" (20) offset and my tire rubs. I have 265 35 19
Can I buy the spring riser piece separately that comes with coilovers? I just want to raise the back ride height an inch and a half keeping the stock springs |

Hate to say it but no way you're going to be able to run that setup on stock 135i fenders (different story if you do a 1M conversion). Your first job would be to roll the fenders which isn't easy on these cars. Look at Kgolf's thread but you need to pull out the liner, and remove the gunk behind it. Then roll the fenders but even then 20 offset is just crazy. Kgolf was rubbing on 245's on a 8.5" with a 40 or 45 offset. Not worth it IMO, sell the wheels and get something that fits right. You're going to spend a lot of time/money to get something that will never fit correctly, while possibly causing damage to your fender. Last edited by 3002 tii; 06-05-2014 at 12:54 PM.. |

OP didn't say anything about spacers...
Either way, conclusion is still right. The offset is VERY wrong. It should be closer to +60. I don't think there are any 19" wheels with that kind of offset, and options in 18" are limited. 1. Get rid of those wheels. It's not going to work. Cut your losses now and move on. 2. If you want advice one what to get instead, tell us what you want. Stanced out and sacrifice grip? Or maximize tire and minimize weight for performance?

I put rubber spacers between the spring to kinda help it stiffen up a bit but it needs more!
