BMW Welt delivery is open to European and US Customers.
There is currently no decision to spread to European customers but it is being looked at.

So... the UK is not in the program then.

BMW really should start up an "American Tourist Deleivery" program for Germans (& EU) wanting to take delivery of their SUV's in the USA.

I can already see the Germans displaying their US "South Carolina plates" on their cars driven in Germany like the guys in the states do! lol

Thank you. Assuming you are referring to the 1M this is good news.

I agree. With the BMW Performance Center just across the road I think it would be a great option for BMW as well as the customers. They can take some of the X5's and X3's on the off road track and then take delivery of their new SAV. Granted we don't have the Autobahn but Tail of the Dragon is only two hours away.

Although my money is on the 1M, I am also considering RS3 and C-class coupe. Might also consider used M3.

Not thinking about any other car, but would like to test drive it to see if it'd worth all the hype...

No offense about your "Tail of the Dragon" but... I think most Germans would head South to Florida!!! I am always amazed by how many Germans have been to Florida. They love it there.

None taken. Also I forget that unlike most US consumers our German Counterparts may take longer more leisurely vacations and have more time to explore.

Sorry Scott, don't quite understand your answer.

Perhaps I should phrase the question differently.

Is it possible for UK buyers to have European COLLECTION. That is, to buy it in the UK and collect it at BMW Welt and drive it the 800 miles back home?

Cheers,

Mark.

As another 6 weeks have passed and official details have been released, is there any more information for UK buyers regarding Euro collection?

Orders/allocations seem to be available in a weeks time (4th Jan) so any info before then would be appreciated.

No mate. Dealer was able to draw up a specification on the system with pricing but couldn't do much else after that.

They couldnt get a final price because the delivery pricing etc hadn't been finalised.

Grrrrrrrrrr.

Absolutely bloomin' ridiculous. About the only major European country where it's not available.

Can get ED for a country several thousand miles away but not for a country 700 miles away.

Do you happen to know why Scott?

I suspect it's something to do with our government or taxes, it usually is.....rip off Britain.

Upside, if I decide on 1M then it makes my purchasing options a lot easier. Dealer or no dealer.

P.S. Oh by the way....Thanks as ever for the info Scott!
