1. You could have done it yourself in about a hour with handtools. Difficulty level of maybe 1.5 out of 10.

2. You have the Whisper so remember to take the "vibration damper" off the stock muffler and attach it to the threaded hole provided on the Whisper muffler

Agreed! I put the Eurosport Whisper and catless midpipes on yesterday and it fits perfect and sounds perfect for me. It's not much louder on the inside with the windows rolled up. It's been raining here so haven't been able to open it up much but from what I have it sounds and feels great. Very nice product. Hoping to get some sound clips if the weather chills out.

Ok, got as much sound as I could for today and was able to just snag a stock startup before getting the new one put on. Was hoping to get some better samples but I guess something is better than nothing. I have the MadDad EuroSport Whisper series exhaust with MadDad midpipes on a N54.

Another run with GoPro mounted to bumper. Not the best quality but should do the trick. Hoping to get some better ones when I get more time and help.

also did a quick weighing and the stock system came out to around 58lbs. and MadDad system with midpipes was around 41lbs. Keep in mind this is the EuroSport Whisper, the Street might be lighter.

Thanks for putting the sound clips together. That's exactly the setup I'd go for. Congrats!

Glad to see it arrived in good order and met your expectation. As aggressive sounding as the Street Series is on a N54 its even more aggressive on the N55. I only have one short clip form a customer, he initially bought a Whisper but it was too laid back for him. He swapped for the Street Series and set off a few alarms in the parking garage....and was happy . I guess that's why we sell more than one model.

You running a tune? I was thinking that I could feel a pretty decent difference in the car as well after install. Not sure if I'm boosting faster or what. Normally wouldn't expect to feel much from an downpipe back exhaust. Seems like on the freeway it gets up to speed quicker. Thought downpipes would do this more but looks like there is more to be had once downpipes go on.

Mine I think has the same sound, thought I heard it the other night. It's been raining so haven't had much time with the windows down. Think thats just the sound of her breathing!

I ask about the tune because I was thinking I might feel more of a difference because of it, but if you feel a difference then it must be breathing that much better.

putting a performance exhaust on a naturally aspirated car does very little. Putting a performance exhaust on a turbo will make a noticable difference, I know lots of people say it's just sound, but on a turbo, that's not the case.

Also, don't forget, you're shaving a good 30lbs off a car and adding about 15whp to the car, that's a big change.....

If it were just 1 or the other, you wouldn't notice as much of a difference. It's like your car has been going to the gym and working out, it's leaner and stronger.

A tune will only use more of that potential opened up by the exhaust. The turbos are no longer working as hard to push air through the system, so there will be a little less heat produced and a little better efficiency.

your gas mileages will be slightly better, but i doubt you'll ever notice since it will be so minimal. And in reality, your fuel mileage will likely be worse because you'll be dipping into the throttle more often offsetting any consumption advantage that was originally gained in the first place.

The hissing sounds you guys are hearing will be when the dump valves (wastegate) open beside the turbos and just bypass the extra exhaust around the turbo, it will have a different sound then what goes through the turbo as it doesn't have the impellers altering it. You may also be hearing extra air flow going into the intake, but if you haven't changed any filters or anything, it's more then likely the waste-gates opening up.

boogieman, are you still loving the whisper? I'm thinking of going this option. I like the sound of the performance exhaust, but that's all it is, just a sound, i want something that will open up for more power and I want it to be discrete.

is it a lot louder then stock? or just a slight burble and hum more like the BMW performance unit (if you've heard it before)

^^^I can answer that as I was one of the first with the Whisper exhausts....it is in a word: AWESOME.....I have gotten as many compliments, if not more compliments on the sound of the exhaust as I have on the look of the car(a lot of those compliments came during my HPDE weekends...so when a guy with a Z4M or a 911 is saying that it sounds awesome that says a lot in my book). It IS louder than stock but not obnoxiously so...and you can only really tell when you are full on the throttle and when you let off the throttle...the burble is really a cool sound. I have a couple youtube vids of it here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/adrean8j

Maddad has a few videos himself as well...just want to say for the price he is charging it should be a felony crime (as compared to what the others are charging). Do it man I would wager my next 6 paychecks you wouldn't be disappointed (matter of fact I don't think I have seen one negative review of this exhaust).

I didn't have midpipes installed in any of those clips...I did have Catless Downpipes though. (I have Maddad Catless midpipes now as well but no clips)...
