Melbourne - Car painting

Hi guys,

Contemplating swapping over some side skirts / rear diffuser etc. Anyone in Melb recommend some paint shops to match my Alpine White III? Diffuser wanted to paint a gloss black.

Pete

Ive used Mr Gloss in Moorabbin before, excellent job, matched the original factory paintwork perfectly. BMW recommended repairer.

Superfinish also gets good reviews.

Any of the BMW approved repairers are good, except for BMW Bodyshop!

You should just do the diffuser yourself though Pete.

Wouldn't surprise me, everything is more expensive over here in WA.

I didn't like it initially, but as a package with that tip spacing I think it actually looks really nice. Very similar to E46 M3 spacing. Can only get it with that exhaust though, directly from HARTGE in Germany.

Fingers crossed it sounds as good as it looks.

Rung around, looking between 2-300bucks a piece for the painting.

You can actually source the diffuser on its own

I've had some work done at Active Motorwerke in Burwood, although not painting related. Their set up is pretty impressive. May be worth having a chat to Steven Bai ((03) 9808 4909).

Didn't think that was the case. If so, good news for those who want to make custom exhausts as the tip spacing a stand-out feature IMO.
