For around $85k you could get a gen2 987 Cayman S with tune & exhaust, you won't need anymore power... turn-in is addictive nothing comes close really. Rear seats are a sin when there's a flat-six whining just inches behind your seat.

I found the Cayman R just too slow, but as a wise man once said to me, if you want straight line stick, don't buy a Porsche (insert excepting turbos of course). Dynamically, perfection in mid engine style.

ahh so a cayman would be more like a brz then

I've driven a brz
Most over rated experience ever
I don't appreciate having so little traction you lose the back doing 30km around a round about
Or how fragile the engines are
Or how fragile the car generally is (know someone who had their door closed with a small amount of force and it's dented; also another person who rubbed slightly too hard when washing and removed paint)

I've never driven a BRZ, but from memory a stock wrx does Wakefield in 1.11's
Pretty sure that was the clubs lap record a few years back. I'd expect a 135i would go better.

I've not driven one either, never will.

They're just a bloody Celica anyways.

Last time we went there was an 86 there with RS3s. He was pulling 1.11-1.12s and other than his upgraded subie brakes he was stock apparently.

what if they put an M badge on it, would you drive it then

Also as you brought up the comparison of different cars by manufacturers, would you say 1m was closer to a 135 than a 86 is to a celica

You cant make a celica as quick as a 86 by spending $500 on it.

I bought a POS magna wagon a while ago as a daily hack, chuck the dogs in the back car and have jumped on the magna forums for info on a few things.

On one thread a mighty magna owner stated he had done a 1:10 @ wakefield in his fwd magna!!

So watch out for those unassuming magna's boys!
