Had my service carried out by Peter and the team this morning...

First - but definitely not last - visit to Advan.

Faster, better and cheaper than BMW. One very happy customer.

Booked car in at 8am - and on the road by 9:15am

Pete - only complaint was the traffic on Parramatta Rd heading back to the city. Took me longer to get home than the service took

Just out of curiosity Pete, why don't you get some of your new advan logos printed off on some stickers for a tasteful windscreen decal about 4" x 1" for the guys that are keen. Nice bit of promo for your business (well for the guys that don't drive like cocks on the streets)

I'm not a sticker kinda guy at all, but I would rock one on the windscreen of my 335i!

Will be at Advan tomorrow morning to start the custom exhaust build for my car. Thanks Pete for help to date.
Hopefully we can engineer a master piece.

Got my 135i oil changed at advan today.. very happy! So easy, quick and flexible. I was booked in for 10, came at 11 and still got me all completed within an hour.

Will be bringing mine back to fix whatever issues I come up with next

$250 for an oil change and all the rest.. very very happy!

By the way Pete I don't know what oil you are using but it was sitting at a higher temp than usual for me? No issue on my side, just an observation

Hi there Kris
Thanks for the feed back the oil we use is Castrol LL01 5/30 Edge Professional
part No 3374584 this is the same oil that BMW should be putting in your engine but some dont dont know why there is a temp change. should be around 110-120 normal driving sitting in traffic etc.

No idea, why not call Peter direct? He's the first to admit he isnt the most tech savvy with running the usual PC computer. He's normally got his head stuck under a car or on the dyno.

Yeah it looks that way.

I was OS when I sent the PM to organise for service... Back now, so might duck out and make the call.

I have a feeling the service advisor at BMW was new and/or made a mistake but had her do an early oil service on my 135.

Cost? About $25!

I supplied the oil though. Looking at the invoice the charge was for the oil filter, she had also punched in "oil top up" despite acknowledging an oil change.

At this price including a washed car, will be changing oil every 3-5000km!!

Somehow I don't think this will last!

Either they took the oil and just topped up what was in the car without flushing what was there.

OR

She left out a 0 on the final invoice.

The thought had definitely crossed my mind and several times I got her to confirm that it was indeed an oil change and not a top up.

I guess they wouldn't change the oil filter and stamp my service book it it was just a top up. Just have to take their word for it I guess!

Had my 65,000 km service with Pete & the guys at Advan this morning.

In and out in about 90 minutes including a quick dyno run to get a stock power figure.

A+++ for service.
