black vinyl roof overlay?

hey all, so ive been browsing around the forums and recently decided that a glossy black vinyl roof overlay is something id really like to look into. I thought it would be a good start to get any local based information i could from us over here in the aussie section. i have a pretty little AW 125i

first and foremost...where would be a good place to purchase some? Any recommendations? I think id prefer to see/buy the vinyl locally and not over the net, although any help is appreciated. thanks aussies!

You can get in touch with Mike from Carbon Demon
http://www.carbondemon.com.au/

Or you can have your roof painted black by a panel beater.

Hey mate, lemme know if you find a decent place. See if we can get a discount if we do two together. I'm thinking roof gloss black. Or going all out and full car wrap depending on costs. (I'm in Syd too)

Seriously thinking about a black roof?

I got the roof on my old car painted jet black for $200.

Vinyl is good incase you change your mind later on... should be 200-300 mark.

would be way more expensive, pretty labour intensive to get it done right

I just took a stab and guessed $2kish? It's tempting to call up a place and find out, but I don't want to be speechless on the phone as they tell me its like 6k or something. Wrap would be cheaper than full body respray though I assume?

i suppose that would depend on who you know, if you've got mates who are PnP guys then no a full respray would be cheaper

And by 'full respray' do you mean spraying the exterior of the car only OR the engine bay, door jambs etc... If you've got a silver car and want a new lick of silver, probs 3k for a walk in price. If you want to change it to candy apple red or something, including door jambs, engine bay etc it'll be a lot more, guessing 6-8k+

Full car wraps go for about 2k?

But right now i am waiting until the 27th to have my car looked into by a bodyshop for an event that i don't ever want to talk about again *sigh*

Guys, count me in for a triple discount if you end up finding a place in Brisbane. Seriously considering doing the black vinyl roof...

I'm up for a gloss black roof to start with. Full wrap seems a bit optimistic. I think Taymaishu is also interested in a roof job.
