As promised, initial pics from today's pickup!
Collection by a happy customer - no, sorry, didn't do a burnout, too busy trying to work out which way to turn as I left. Matt was surprised that I'd mastered iDrive though, happy that he didn't have to explain it all:
The cat checks out the new wheels, no he doesn't lie on my cars: A wide angle, under bonnet view: Hmmm, it's very grey: The 'door shot': One from a lower angle: Under the bonnet: More photo's when I find a better location and better light!

Congratulations Simon! Enjoy.
One thing I noticed on your car that is different to the other Aussie delivered 1ers with xenons is your inner lights appear to have a "ribbed" lens pattern, as per US and EU (?) 1ers. On my car the inner lamps don't light up when you turn on hi beam. They appear to contain a globe that just illuminate the corona rings. I believe on the US cars with the ribbed lens, they actually light up to assist the xenons when hi beam is on. Can you do us a favour and check if the light up with your hi beam. Thanks mate.

d3syd, if you're referring to the vertically ribbed part of the LHS light in the pic above, no, it doesn't light up when I put high beam on. The xenon's get damned bright though (as my right eyeball can testify to at the mo').
I'll need to get a friend to check tomorrow when they do come on, if at all. The angel eyes on by lights above are lit when high beam is on or it's not. I think I'll go the GP Thunders though.

Car looks great. For some reason, the color came out like a matte grey/blackist color and they makes my mind wonder. Hmmm...yummy...matte grey/blackish color 135i. Again, congrats and enjoy your new baby.

Yes, I had wondered if that was it myself. Just went down the road to get some Fish and Chips and love the way they 'peer' around the corners! The faster you go, the better they go... Woops.

Nice timing on the head light question. My son and I were comparing lights last night and discovered that on the 135i the outside light handles both the low and hi beam. The inside bulb comes on when the switch is in the auto position and the steering wheel is turned. So the driver side inner bulb comes on when turning left and the passenger side inner bulb comes on when turning right.

Maybe where you live, but I'd guess we're different as we drive upsidedown.
