128i rear tires almost gone after 10k!

Has anyone had experience with rapid wear on the Goodyear Eagle NCT5s that the 128i sport pack came with?

I only have 10k miles on the car and 2k was done with snow tires. The rears are almost to the wear bars but the fronts have over half tread left. The car has not been tracked, although I do push it hard whenever I get a chance to drive backroads.

My rear NCT 5 RFTs lasted 23,000 miles. The fronts would have gone over 40k, but four Conti DWS tires cost less than two rear Goodyears so I went with the DWS.

OP, since the NCT 5 is considered a summer touring (not performance) tire and is rated at 240 for tread wear, you might want to have your alignment checked.

normal. I just looked at my hankooks today after about 15k miles and the rears are pretty much gone. The fronts still have about 1/2 as well.

The runflats were worse hehe

I replaced my rears at 25k. Prob cold have gone 5k more, but certainly no more than that. Run flats suck.

I'd hate to have to replace tires every 10k!

Options I'm looking at are:
-replacing the rears with new NCT5 RFTs
-4 new P Zero RFTs for only about $200 more
-square setup w/ 225/45 17 non-RFTs all around

I got new wheels at 20k miles, the rears were getting low but not down to the wear bars yet. Lots of highway miles though.

I've come to a decision! Sort of...

I'll mount non-RFTs on the OEM wheels. I just have to decide between Bridgestone RE-760s and Continental DW.

Tirerack shows excellent reviews for both although I've heard complaints that the DW feels squishy.

Any advice?
Thanks!
