headlights out and adaptive error

hello 1 addicts, I come to you in complete frustration. I have read just about every thread on here abut adaptive headlight errors, condensation issues, and all other related issues to swapping in different bulbs. Anyway, I swapped some new bulbs in and failed to seal the back of my headlights properly, they both gathered condensation and my headlights went out. I am also receiving an adaptive error. I went to the dealer and they quoted me $4,900 to replace both headlights, my footwell module (FRM) which they claim isn't sending power to the low beams, and my SMC modules. Obviously I'm not going to pay $4,900 to have this done. Can anyone who has had experience with these problems send me in the right direction? I would be forever grateful, I have been struggling with these stupid headlights for far too long!!!

www.eeuroparts.com

They have the whole assemblies except lamp and ballast for under $600 per. It's a Valeo part but Valeo made the headlights for BMW so the difference is hundreds of dollars and a missing roundel logo. I'm not sure if the footwell module/ACL box comes with the assembly I have it.

Use www.realOEM.com to get your proper part numbers.

Im going through the same thing with my driver side headlight. I've taken the headlight off multiple times to use the blow dryer and dry it out. This last time I discovered water down in the Ballast, which I found online to cost around $475 to replace. I am very open to ideas and have been wondering about installing those aftermarket headlights from Protuninglab. Is that possible? Could I just code out the adaptive lights? i'm not trying to spend thousands on head lights.

Best of luck to you and hopefully we both can get some resolve.
