Sorry I missed it, had a staff meeting in the morning and work afternoon/night. I did spot most of you on Beaudesert Rd at Calamvale on your way out though!

I wish I could have come but unfortunately it was bad timing for me. I really get a kick out of events like these so I was devastated to find out it was on the 7th! The pics turned out great, thanks for sharing. It looks like a great day with a solid turnout. By the way, Warren's 125i with gunmetal CSL's looks dope!

I didnt realize we were splitting off into groups so i went with group 1.
Means i missed out on checking out all the really nice cars in the other group. Those 135is looked so hot when they rolled up. Wish i knew what was happening, my bad.

Drive was pretty awesome. I stopped a couple times to pee which gave me a good chance to play catch up.

Here is the off road z4.

I'm disappointed I missed. I was tied up yesterday being one of the mad buggers riding from Southbank to Southport.

Yeah thankfully that clay comes off easily enough, I made sure to get under the car with the hose too.

I have to say that in all my years I had the single most enjoyable drive I've ever had yesterday. The run to Kyogle was an absolute treat and following Vic in his 5'er was nothing short of superb. I have a love-tap on my A-pillar from a stone to remember things by, but hey, that's what touch-up paint is for

Some great pic's there Sam that brought back some good memories. Nice feed at the Uki pub afterwards too. We nearly outnumbered the motorcyclists! Must try and wash the car this afternoon...
Thanks to the hard work put in by the BMW club organisers!
Interesting to see how many other car & bike clubs were out for a run including; Skyline, Mustang, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, etc.

Yes it was a good turnout too bad those very nice photos of all those clean cars and after going through the clay road works, all the cars covered in clay i hate washing my car still have'nt finished cleaning underneath yet and the stones chips on the bonnet, our great mountain roads full of pot holes and ten thousand patches, thankyou main roads.

Hey guys, thanx for coming yesterday, and glad you enjoyed it. Sorry about the clay...I did three runs prior, but didn't get all the way as it was after work in the afternoons, so I wasn't aware of the roadworks.
The real excitement of the day was in Group 3. I was leading, and halfway up the hill on Mt Lindsay Hwy when I came round a blind right hander, only to be confronted by an oncoming semi-trailer less than 20 metres away and totally on my side of the road.
I got on the brakes and tried get over left as far as possible, while he swerved to his left and locked everything on the trailer. I kept aiming for the gap between the trailer and the huge drop-off to the left, while moving forward to make room for the guys behind me.
Andrew in his E30 had pulled up right behind, and was trying to do the same thing, but Craig in his E90 320i was confronted by a truck half on his side of the road, and two almost stationary BMWs in front of him.
He did his best but ended up clipping the back of the E30 and denting the front bar on his car pretty badly. He was pretty shaken up about it, moreso about having to tell his missus.
Of course the truck didn't stop, and we were all too busy avoiding to get a plate.
His insurance has told him he'll probably have to pay the $600 excess, despite all of our witness accounts. We're hoping we can get a picture from when the truck crossed the border to identify it.

We also had another E30 split a fuel line, and then an E28 have the wiring go up in smoke...lucky they weren't together at the time.

Talk about an eventful day....

Great day out guys Gotta love the 4th last photo there Sam...I'm having trouble recalling a time when I checked my rear view mirror and seeing Warren driving within his lane haha Many thanks to Ian, job well done! My only regret is not arriving early to check out everyones cars Although, I did think that there would be plenty of other opportunities to do that but once we left the Uki pub everyone had already left Can't wait for the next cruise!
I got really lazy once I saw my car the next day and all that mud/clay and had someone else do all the hard work! I too managed to score a couple of new stone chips on my 2 day old freshly painted new bonnet, grrr! But still worth it for driving on those roads!

Feast your eyes folks...this may be the only time you will ever see a certain car in less than pristine condition!

Muddy twin! I think the only way to tell us apart are the different wing mirrors.
