I recall an old thread which had each states On-road cost? Most were $109-$111k new... But what options can you spec on them to make it $130k? I thought 1M's were already specced pretty highly?

These my friends were all of the options available for Aus delivered 1M's
0320 Model designation deletion NCO 0322 Comfort access system 1,500 0420 Sun protection glazing 660 0468 Skibag 390 0494 Seat heating for driver and front passenger 730 05AC High-Beam Assist 320 06NF Extended connectivity of the music player in the mobile phone 220 0672 6 Disc CD changer 900 0999 Metallic paint 1,700 IIRC list RRP on the road in Vic when we bought our car, non metalic with out ANY options was ~$110k. I also think that a loaded car with metalic was list on the road at ~$120k. Ian, I think it is fair to say that pricing varied a bit around the country, I know for a fact that Canberra has now done 12 x 1Ms all at FULL RRP, that means circa $115-$120 options dependent. (7 x VO's + 4 x AW + 1 x BSM). Further, some dealers have, in some cases, lifted their Dealer Delivery charges so as a result inflated pricing. I don't think most have paid the price you infer, in fact there was a mandate by BMW at the time of release that cars were NOT to be discounted across the network, which supports my view that a 110 car is not the "norm" in fact is quite the opposite. To be honest I paid 110k without metalic paint and that at the time was a great deal, done so only because we ordered 4 cars through one buyer at the same time. In the end the market will pay what the market will pay for a used 1M, IMHO $105k is as low as domodomo should look at the moment, else the dealer will buy it off him and list it at $129k drive away, as they are already doing. |

No one is going to pay $129k for them though that is the kicker.
Ultimately it's value is worth what a buyer will pay in an open and fair market (whereby the seller isn't distressed). List it for what you think is fair and move on IMO. |

Well the car is worth 180k for me. . Not saying that is what it is worth in the market. That's what's worth to me. Hence it explains all the parts that is going into the car.

If its an interstate buyer, I was advised the Vicroads forms and RWC do not apply as it will not be registered in Vic, so it's up to the interstate buyer to determine what he needs to do to register the car is his state. But as far as the seller is concerned in this case, just take the money and issue a receipt. Oh, and make sure you terminate your rego and remove your plates as there isn't a legal doc (as there's no form other than a personally issued receipt) that shows a change of ownership, so you may still be liable for summons etc even after the car leaves your hands. If the buyer wants to drive it all the way back, they can apply for a temp permit for the duration of the drive (only time I think you can drive without plates :P) If you're not completely sure, just ring VicRoads up. I got all that from them when I sold my car in April. |

Nope they weren't selling me anything, I just happen to know the bosses at two big BMW dealers in Sydney very, very well. Believe it or not, there is still a lot of demand for the 1M and of course supply is limited. From what i'm told, the one sold last weekend had 5 different customers keen to buy at $130k, so why would the dealer take a cent off? You already know dealers are consistently advertising at ~$130k with onroad costs, as the perceived value of the car. The fact that multiple dealers are selling them at sticker price confirms the perception. Only way to find out is to sell the car, and I'm not selling my 2 day old baby. |

Alpine are you very sure you would land a BSM? Or put a $2k deposit on this AW or the VO to secure a 1M at least whilst you continue to seek out the BSM?
