Time from order to production?
What was the time it took from when you placed your order to the production stage?
I would like to see a time chart showing the average times for each area such as order placed, production begins... Last edited by sochermit; 03-21-2012 at 12:53 PM.. |

I ordered 1/25/12.
Production ended 2/7/12. Mine indicated production started the same day it finished, so I'm guessing the 1-800 number and website were behind and it actually started production sometime earlier. I think the whole car is built in like a week or less. Delivered to me on 3/7. I guess that's 7 weeks exactly order to delivery. They tell you 6-8 weeks so I was pretty lucky. |

Ordered 12/6/2011. Production completed on 1/28/2012. On boat 2/14/2012. At port in SoCal 3/7/2012. Ready for delivery 3/14/2012. Bear in mind, the factory was closed 4 weeks for Christmas so my wait was a little longer than most as a result...

That said I would expect your car to be completed soon. The shipping is what takes forever. |

I ordered mine on 02/23. Entered production the following week. Production was completed the week after that, which was possibly on the 8th or the 9th. Now its at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. It has been at the port since last week, sometime in between the 12th - 16th, I can't seem to remember.

It appears that there is a fairly good spread between placing the order, production begin and finish. The ship will sail when full. My order was placed 3 weeks ago and I was informed, today, that it may go into production in the next couple of days. The wait continues.

I ordered 12/27 and took delivery on 2/25. So less than 2 months.. Wasn't bad at all. I'd be lying though if I told you I didn't check on the site every single day.

Yeah the site is more than a few days behind.. Calling your salesman to get you the exact code number is much more accurate. Online seemed to be nearly almost a full step behind for me every step of the day.

I'm in Australia. I placed my order in October 2011 for a January 2012 build. Was then advised no 135 build in January. February build. Dealer does not expect to get delivery until end of April 2012. After dealer does their extra they expect to hand over in first week may. This car has been a labour of love and has taken as long as birthing a child. I am almost over the waiting.
