I never liked the mercedes interior until recently. For some reason I like the oddly sloped interior now.

the whole rear end looks off - the quad exhaust is too far to the sides....from this angle I don't like it at all. The rest of the car is way too conservative as well. Have a 135i for sale in the sales section, but now I'm seriously considering just keeping it. Has been a great car and with JB3 is more than quick enough.

Im not feeling the 1 series M coupe. ///M Division let us down by using a series engine and raping the M3 parts bin. My E-90 M3 will be the last ///M i Buy not a fan of forced induction. I will move on to a GT3 and Keep my high revving V8 till the bitter end.

Thanks for the photos. Don't think I will be trading my one month old 135i for a 1M.

It would be very difficult for me to replace my 135 with a 1M. No mater what anyone says they are way to close in comparison.
What to do meter 1M........|.M3 |

I think the $45k base will be the breaking point for a lot of people. From the estimates I've seen it sounds like the base price will be somewhere from $45k-48k. If it's $45k I will probably be in, but at $48k base with the premium package, it's easily over $50k before even destination, taxes and other fees they like to slip in there at the end (making the final price likely over $55k). If the base is $45k one may be able to escape out of the door with everything said and done for around $51k. It's not a matter of affording it, but more a matter of pricing way too close to the M3.
Granted if someone doesn't like the looks or size of the M3 this car may be a no brainer, but I think BMW walks a fine line with pricing here. To be honest, I like the front end of the 1M better than the M3. Especially in black it has a sort of Darth Vader look with those verticle slits hanging down for the air curtains. Now if the side skirts and rear half of the car's looks could be tweeked... |

I guess that depends on how you look at it. So far we know: LSD, Upgraded Suspension, Body Kit, Upgraded lightweight flywheel, Upgraded Cooling (and power), Likely more aggressive sounding exhaust, Upgraded Breaks (all warrantied and installed), plus Larger wheels and tires for $9k over the base of the 135i. From that perspective to me it sounds like a decent deal.
Some of the questions remaining are about the internals of the engine, the half shafts, transmission and clutch. With time we will get a full tally of the differences and can decide if the car is worth the money. And if it had a true M engine, I'd say the $48k base price would be a deal as well. |

^^ I agree also from that perspective, which is MY persperctive as well.
but many folks here wanted a true M car and in that persperctive it does not match. so to each his own...

Hopefully it starts even lower than that and makes it even harder for me to resist selling my 135 for the 1M.

Alpine White makes the 1M look boring, period.
