HP Design Wheels

UPS Just delivered my new wheels. HP Design (HyperDark)"Lightnings".

19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear 38mm offset.
.

If I get the time tonight and somehow free up some work space in the garage I'll try to get them installed and snap some pics.

I finally got them on and took some pics when the weather cleared!

Believe it or not, despite the lower profile tires the car runs much smoother than before. The ride was stiffer with the stock run flats. I suppose because of the wider wheels and more aggressive tread pattern the car tracks more on the road and more road noise can be heard in the cabin but it doesn't bother me much. Very happy with the outcome and I'm sure wheel spacers will be next....

Like the rims

Where did you get these and how much did you pay with the wheels?

Nice! How much did you get it for and where? Are you putting run flats on it?

I purchased the wheels and tires as package from wheelmax.com and spent $1600 for the entire package with shipping (a great deal if you ask me). The tires are from Hankook and they are not "run flats".

Hopefully, if time permits I'll be able to have these "shoes" installed on Saturday.

Great choice of wheels bro!! I couldn't be happier with mine. I hate you though, I paid $1700 shipped to me in Cali. The dish in the rear is friggin' huge. It looks great once they are on the car. You will need to get some 15mm spacers for the rear. I put them on w/o and the 19x9.5+38 offset is just a tiny bit wider than stock, which is no good. The pictures I posted are with the spacers on, so you can judge for yourself. There are no spacers on the front. Just imaging the rear wheels setting in a little more than a 1/4 inch w/o the spacers. I think you'll be ordering them soon thereafter.

Hey Gallo! I was planning on getting 10mm spacers to be on the conservative side, but after looking at yours it looks as if 15mm would be a better option. I noticed you are using 275 rears are having any issues with rubbing?

thegallo, where did you get your wheels from. And also have you had any problems with pot holes?? I am really considering getting these wheels and i am just worried about they bending. I live in NYC and the roads eat rims like nothing.

I got them through some guy in florida who happened to have some laying around. I dont think he sells them normally. Wheelmax.com has them for about 1600 shipped. I have had no problems with potholes. I have actually hit a few big ones and it felt like my wheels should have bent but they didn't. Im pretty happy with them.

Awesome I called WheelMax and they don't have them anymore. No staggered setup and no black 19's. So know I have to try and find another source.

I love those HP Design Rims. I think I wiil be ordering those in 18" since our roads in Jamaica are sometimes rough. How does the car handle with the new wheels? Is there any oversteering? Is the steering any stiffer? Is there increased road noise? Is the ride better with regular tires?
