What do I need to make my system hands free/bluetooth compatible?
So, I have a steering wheel with audio and phone control buttons on it, however I don't have bluetooth connectivity through my BMW Professional audio system.
O took a photo of what I have in the trunk. What do I need to add in order to have bluetooth capability? TIA! |

you'll need to buy a mulf2 unit as it appears u dont even have that in the trunk.
If im not mistaken, ur also missing some wiring harness as i recall having much more than what u have in the pic. Im guessing ur not prewired for bluetooth which might be a pain. i think i read the newer units might have usb and bluetooth connectivity in back of head unit..i could be wrong tho. |

It seems like your car is prewired, and in that case the only thing missing is the bluetooth module.
To confirm this, you can check your cars equipment list online here: http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/ (last seven digits of the cars VIN), look for anything bluetooth related.) |

Since you have the 640, you should be able to just get the bluetooth module and a microphone. Shouldn't be that expensive at a dealer.
