What this wire for?

was DIYing my Black Line, discovered an additional wire/cable around the battery compartment...anyone knows what's this for? or issit i had accidentally unplugged it from somewhere nearby?

not sure but isnt that the battery conditioning/monitoring wire they use during shipping/transit?
