Detailing Newb
ok,
Let me first start off by saying I am familliar with the concepts of paint, and grime and how waxing/polishing/washing works... and some of the best practices... I dont want to go into business doing it myself, but I would love to be able to produce some of the results you guys have in here, with my car. I guess the most daunting part of it all is buffers... I trust myself with a handwax.... I've never polished my car... just claybar, wash wax... and am familliar with the concepts. Would somone mind sharing some tips with where to get started? |

is the two bucket method of washing is basically buckets with grated bottom, one clean one dirty, clean, wipe car down, rinse in "dirty bucket" then get more suds on clean side again?
I've got an aw 135, and was probably going to get the swissvax glacier stuff for white cars. |

After reading that I would also suggest reading our Detailing Guide. It has tons of quality information, step by step procedure for using the buffer and so much more. I basically recommend you look at the Porter Cable 7424 and the Flex XC 3401 VRG. They are both highly effective buffers but they are also paint safe and won't burn your paint. They are great for new detailers who want professional results. We have some starter kits that are great values that give you accessories and all the pads you need. I generally recommend a medium polish with an orange pad and a white pad and light polish to help restore the paint. My favorite combination is the Menzerna PO83 and PO106FA. If I can help you put together a detailing routine to maximize your efforts please let me know I'd be happy to help. I look forward to hearing from you again!

Unfortunately we only carry the 110V models here in the US. Sorry I can't help you.
LOL, I watched that game some really tough calls. I would not want to be him. |
