Well......today was an eventful day. I got my pieces back from paint and they came out great! I wanted to tackle the install myself so with my Austrian instructions I got to. 3 years of Deutsch did nothing for me. But i got them on there. I have to make one more adjustment to the corner of the bumper but i just don't feel like taking the wheel off. It came out great......then i ran over a hex socket and got it lodged into my tire. So i got me a new front passenger tire too....YAAAAYYYYY -__-
Left som CF exposed and it really set it off |

a few days ago I made my way to Richmond, VA to the Fortune Auto headquarters. Coming from the Evo world and following road course/time attack racing, these guys are leaders in suspension in those arenas. I wanted to do something a little different with my suspension set up so I decided to go with Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers instead of some of the other common brands found on the forum. Some key things that I like was the 24 way dampening, digressive pistons, 5 year warranty, and the custom design of them after you place your order. I was the first 135i they have installed their coilovers on, in house. so they are eager to learn more about this car.
made right here and dyno tested all in house Dampening and Camber plate Fronts are 6k Rears are 9k let it begin the next day i did some adjustments then got it aligned at -2.0 camber (r) and -1.5 Camber (f) with 0.2 toe. I have yet to snap photos of how it sits with the alignment n stuff. When on the softer settings it rides smoother than stock. I have not really pushed in the corners because i have to do some fender rolling and possibly run a 245/35 tire in the rear. More to come. I will clean it up this weekend and post some better pictures, the rain should be cleared by then. Overall I am happy with the coilovers. The customer service of Fortune Auto is second to NONE!! Gave me a free shirt and rear adjustment extenders to make adjustments to my rear coils without removing the trunk lining. You know what they say.... Once you go low.....the problems grow!! lol |

got my fenders rolled even more, really trying to NOT have to alter my fender liner. It still rubs enough to annoy me. I may have to raise it up about 1/8inch all around and hope that helps a lot. Or go to 245/215 tire set up instead of 255/225. what do you guys think???
but damn, i love the stance of it.....decisions, decisions. |

Raise it....as it is if you're really into handling...you've gone a bit to low. Get it corner balanced
