I've owned it for over two decades, so I know it pretty well. What kind of info are you looking for?

I bought it in grad school to replace a much rustier 73. Had it painted, built the suspension (Bilstein sports, Eibachs, poly bushings everywhere), big brakes, hot motor (pistons, Motorsport 300deg cam, dual Webers, header). +2 wheels (15" vs. 13"). Ran it in autox for eight years early on, a few track schools, a couple rallies, but now it's just a toy.
It's a very lively chassis. Stable but with lots of feedback everywhere - much more than in the E82. It's easy to drive fast as long as you're willing to steer as much with the throttle as the wheel; not to suggest it wants to slide around corners sideways, but that to be fast it needs to be constantly balanced with the throttle. It doesn't plant itself nearly as firmly after turn-in as a modern BMW (it's a simple semi-trailing arm setup). The motor makes plenty of power for the chassis, but it's not a straight-line car. I've never dyno'd it but I'd guess it's around 140hp give or take. It's a light car, and I've never been a power junkie. It's a great car to drive even today. Simple and direct, great outward visibility, practical (the trunk is bigger than you'd think, and there's at least as much room in the back seat as in an E82). If they didn't rust so easily I'd be happy driving it daily.
