chris...typing from the iphone...some words got left out. Sorry. The difference caused by the sport seats and the wheel is astonishing.

Regardless if it's impractical or whatever else you may label it, it is the way it goes. They don't quote top speeds in car reviews and specs for nothing.
Yes, but honestly, for those of us in the US the increased speed limiter is really just a "feel good" bragging point. Other than the rare few, with miles and miles of clear roads and the cojones, most of us aren't going more than 130mph, if that even.

For me, "faster" means how fast the car will get to a certain speed.
The higher speed limiter doesn't mean the car will get to 130mph faster.
It just means it will keep going to 150mph or so.

It was really more of joke than anything, because obviously the seats make a difference too. You should really get yourself in check before you start making assumptions that a person is after nothing more than a tiny badge. I couldn't care less. If this car had come with an M1 badge on the back of it, it would have been gone within hours of me getting it hom, just like the standard numbers were.
Easy- I didn't say the badge was all YOU or anyone else were after-however I have zero doubt that it was at least a nice bonus(or boner) for many. Hey- I wouldn't mind seeing an M blazoned on my wheel if I didn't think the wheel itself was spongy oversized rubbish(I realize I'm in the vast minority on that.) I just couldn't help but say that 1100 for a wheel no matter how great it is or isn't is madness while we're not talking FU money on a car- that's all. And obviously I took you too literally. Seats? Yes- worth 1100 on their own? not in my opinion but I think they make a much bigger diff than the wheel 'upgrade'.

Actually to me, it's not a bragging point because there are TONS more cars that have a higher limiter than 155. It actually feels good knowing I have the CAPABILITY to go that fast if I wish. To each their own.

Very true. This is why I always buy tires rated for 170 or 180+ mph. I never think that I'll go that fast in this car. But it's nice to l know that I can.

Certainly, and that was really my point.
For me, having a 155mph limiter in the sport pkg. wasn't a selling point at all.

But, your view exemplifies my point.

LOL! That's kinda like a teenage boy getting a condom and keeping it in his wallet till it forms a permanent ring in it.

I don't have sport package. I don't regret it.

I stay in the seat without any problems during hard turns. I make the occasional excursion into triple-digit speed, but the inability to go faster than 130 mph hasn't yet been an issue. I don't think it will be. If it does actually exist, that is.

That's sweet.

But, it was an analogy. Now don't go confusing that with anal-ology.

Another thing to note is the M Sport Package cannot be ordered with the Piano Black Trim, which I prefer personally. I ordered mine with only ZSP for the piano black trim since I didn't want wood or aluminum...the ladder being what I have on my 335i Coupe. Black headliner is very nice though...my dealer tried to add it as a 900 dollar custom addition but BMW wouldn't let it fly. Booo.

You should be a politician. You can flip sides more often than a pancake house. Maybe you should start a thread and argue with yourself.

We don't care what you consider a selling point. The fact is sports pack is 155, non-sports is 130. Period.

Under your logic, all us spec 1ers could be limited to 80mph and would still sell fine.

So....Leme get this straight. A car that does 130 can get from point A to point b just as fast as a car that can do 155? Good thing no one else in the real world goes by your definition of "fast".

Well, if you're driving at reasonable US speeds, then yes.
