YLLWWGN - 18x8 & 18x9 ASA AR1's, gold lips, new pics!
Well it's been a while since I've posted anything... but I've been wanting to pull the trigger on some VMR 701's, and figured what the hell... let's see if I can breathe some life into my old wheels for fun.
Some sandpaper, primer, tape, and patience, etc.,... anyway, the lighting today was too good to pass up, so sharing some pics. Let me know what you guys think. (sorry just iPhone pics for now)

Looks great man!!! How have you been? I love gold on a white car.
Your side skirt extension and mini mud flap is very intriguing! I like it a lot! Do you have more close up pics?

Hey Marc... yeah it's been a while. Holy good eye Batman... yeah the side skirt extensions and mini mud flaps are something I recently fab'd up. Took a while to source the materials I wanted... Anyway here's a pic of the stuff in progress. I'll have to take some pics of those parts on the car.

What materials did you use for the mini mud flaps? I really want to put mud flaps on the front because I don't want rock chips on the side of my car. I hate how the fender/door curves in behind the front tire. It's just asking for rock chips... But the mud flaps aren't aesthetically pleasing... Your solution is a good compromise!!! DIY guide!!!!!!! Like your DIY for the rear diffuser extensions. Please?

Interestingly enough I had the same concerns with rocks/dirt slowly blasting away at the front of our sideskirts. I had actually made some really subtle flaps for the front a while back and they worked great.
I'll try to put together some pics over the next week or so |

Thanks. Fitment is spot on, but I rolled the fenders slightly just in-case. Sitting on KW's and the wheel/tire can articulate under compression into the fender without rubbing.
