Daytime Running Lamps
My wife's 2011 128i has the base model ugly yellow halogen daytime running lamps. Eventually, I'd like to swap them out for an upgraded set of projectors with halos. How easy/affordable would that be? We don't want anything blingy, but we want something that looks like should belong on a Bimmer? In the meantime, does anyone know how to turn off the daytime running lamps. It's easy on my E92, but I can't figure it out on the E82. Thanks.

Use the thumb wheel on the turn signal stalk, key in ignition on. Scroll thru until you get to the BC check settings, then click on DRL icon. Go look at the owners manual if need be. DRL really work, IF I were you I would just leave them on/engaged. New headlights will not be cheap. Depos run about $600 plus install. You will need to R&R the front bumper cover. Xeons are about $2k or more. Dackel |
