yup i already found one way better about a hr away from me thats listed at 32. this time its fully loaded. the only thing thats missing is nav. plus it has only 22k miles on it. clean carfax one owner as well. even if i paid 30 for it its a much better deal then what i would have paid for the 1st one i had found. im hoping to get this one between 28-29 which i think is very possible. really appreciate everyone's input. Again, i really cant stress how much these forums do help. bimmerpost community FTW!!!. Thanx a whole bunch guys. I have a good feeling about the one i just found and I will keep you guys posted as usual. Wish me luck!

I recently looked at a 2009 135i with 27k miles and CPO, offered at $32,600. I negotiated down to $30k but didn't end up going for it (couldn't get over the ugly taupe interior). The car had Nav but no premium package, HD radio, sport pack, heated seats and MT. The car was absolutely spotless with all 4 new tires (RFT's but still..)

I wonder what the whole story is here because that is auction value for the car described in average condition.

DCT tends to sell at a discount. That is a great price for a CPO though.

Edit: looking back maybe his was not CPO. Seems like a fair price if that's the case.

I've been in the market for several months and just pulled the trigger last week. But from what I've seen, it is really a buyers market right now and what he described isn't too good to be true. It's still a good deal though, assuming it's clean.

Good choice. On the new one, definitely try to get down to the $29-30K range and then go for it.

In your dreams. Every used car guide lists it as a deduction of at least $800.

I rechecked and the numbers and I was high. However, $31k is at least $2k low for a clean car, and not possible for a CPO. If values are depressed right now it might be due to high gas prices. The 135i is on the thirsty side for a small car. They may come back later now that gas prices are coming down.

yup those are my exact plans. theyre actually asking 32.4 to be exact, but i dont think the extra $400 should be a huge factor in getting them down between 29 and 30.

I think there is more to the equation than high gas prices, the majority of families' financial situations haven't rebounded yet, jobs report sucked, and people are still being relatively cautious. As you mentioned, hopefully with some more time we will see this turn around.

That is a true statement if there ever was one.

I'm basing my statement on months of watching inventory and DCT equipped cars are consistently listed at lower prices even though it's counterintuitive.
