JB3 and Service
I was never able to find a perfectly clear answer. I have a JB3 installed in my car (v 2.0) and I don't really have the time to take out the chip and i don't have the BT cable hooked up at the moment. I just want to know will it cause any problems and possibly compromise my warranty by leaving it installed in my car if I were just taking it for a simple check up/service? Ive heard people saying that they sometimes bust your balls about mods and such, but would it possibly revoke my warranty?

Shouldn't be a thought, take it off.
One look and they will void your warranty. It takes a whopping 10 minutes to remove, I think you can make time.

I leave my DCI in. They don't care. A chip you should definitely take out though! Even if it's not part of their procedure to check for it, you don't wanna take a chance

I leave mine in for regular maintenance service and HPFP replacement. I would consider to take it off for turbo or serious engine warranty repair. I gues I don't have to worry much right now since my car is almost 50K miles.

i would take off the dci too. I would say the majority of people who have a BMS dci would have a JB3 or JB+. Don't give them a reason to poke around.

Yes OP, definitely take it out. First time it's a bit daunting with all the wires that are in your face, but Vishnu/BMS both have done a great job in making it as easy as possible. Just follow an instructional video and you should have it done within 20mins.
