BMI video comparison w/ 135i

wow, they have a new M3, two versions of a 135i, a Honda s2000 CR and a Nismo 350z. Guess who wins...?

Catch it fast because these BMI guys are sticklers for having their vids removed off youtube pretty quick.

Got this off the s2000 forums, hope it's not a repost

These kinds of races are useless as a true comparison of the cars. With this type of race the driver's skill has as much to do with it as the car. The only way to get a true comparison is to let the same driver do a lap in each and compare results.

There's also a video of the 135i beating the V8 M3 by a hair in a drag race! The driver of the M3 could have shifted better for sure...

The drivers skills are all very different. But I am shocked the Datson was in front. The guy in the white 135i was on the brakes way too much.

@ 1:20 into that video, they show what looks to be a 1 series BMW Performance coilover kit, complete with part number: 88 1500 312 013

They also have decent pics of the Savannah Beige interior at about 2:00 mark.

Interesting... very interesting...

yeah, its not a good way to really measure the cars against eachother for true performance but there are some small things that you can tell that can come out - such as, that M3 was cookin the 135s in the straights. and i'm still surprised the Z was hardly even tested. i like these types of races, looks like fun. like if my friends and I had access to those cars for a day.

I don't mind if the measurement is imprecise.. it's fun to watch. I was also curious how the 135 would do against cars better suited for track (M3, Z Nismo) with a suspension upgrade. Not too bad.. would like to see this with a suspension upgraded 135 and an EVO to see how much closer the 135 is.

BTW, for all you repost police, this wasn't a repost for me and thanks to ladius for sharing it.
