I am not sure what your credit situation is like but off the top of my head get a interest free credit card for 12-18 months and use that. Before I heard back from BMW I ordered a transmission from getbmwparts and they were comparable to everything else I saw online. It was going to come with a 2-year bmw part warranty (they are a online BMW Parts dealer). Good Luck.

Well... after 3 months of finding any used transmission that I could buy goes to hell. From my research nobody drives with a manual gearbox and if someone does ... it's with diesel engine. Europe is a pile of diesels.

So. I'll visit local dealership next week and order new one. With calculated exchange rate from my currency to USD it's about 4.500,-$.
