Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFT or Dunlop SP Sport 01 DSST RFT?
Have the Dunlops right now on the 313 performance wheels which is what they came with however the dealership is going to be replacing all 4 tires due to a strange clicking noise which is coming from the front tires. They've given me the option to either stay with the Dunlops or go with the Bridgestones... Just wondering which are better?

Sorry, I cannot help you with your tire decision but I am curious to find out what strange clicking noise you are referring to.
I too have a strange clicking noise coming from my passenger front tire and seems to be dependent on road speed. Braking and suspension travel does not have any impact on the noise. Just sounds like a consistent clicking based on road speed. I checked around the wheel well and could not find any signs of rubbing on the inside of the wheel well or any of the suspension parts. Let me know if you find the culprit or if the tire replacement fixed your noise problem. Thanks! |

If you're sticking with the RFTs, stick with the Dunlops.

Stay with the Dunlops. My 2012 is about 11,000 miles into it's first set of Bridgestones and they've got maybe 2-3K left. Very noisy at this point. Drove a friend's 135 the other day that has Dunlops and they're definitely quieter. Significantly better treadwear rating as well.
