Which tyres ??
Hi folks...i'm about to purchase a set of Michelin PSS for my 1M...I've never used these tyres before and feel quite excited about getting them...The only problem i have, is that there seems to be so many different types....eg PSS MO...PSS NO etc etc....I cant seem to find the BMW * type for the PSS..All i see and read is that folk use the MO (Mercedes) Approved version.....i've been looking at a few websites and lovetyres seems to be my best choice, but still i am confused about the approval.....Do they have to be BMW approved ???....where's the best place to buy online ??
Thanks for any replies... ps UK based AW 1M |

In my opinion it doesn't really matter, but I know what you mean. It's easy to get confused by the descriptions and part numbers.
I just replaced my original OEM tyres with Sport Cup 2. Generic, it would seem, and without rim protection edge (I now prefer how these look). They are fantastic and haven't yet fallen off the rim despite not being in any way branded as BMW. I'm sure others may disagree. |

i use the PSS "N0" variant....as those are made for Porsches whereas the other ones are made for Mercedes, if i'm not mistaken.
I have been told there are minor differences between the two, however the Porsche optimized tires are supposed to be a tiny bit more robust. I have never seen BMW rated PSS before...they may exist, but i figure if it's good enough for a Porsche it's good enough for my 1M! PSS are amazing tires! you will love them. |
