Ticking/Clicking sound when turning left
Recently I have noticed that when I turn left at speed a loud ticking/clicking noise is heard. It does not happen at very low speeds or when turning right whether at speed or otherwise.
I have looked up the symptoms on the net but it appears it could be anything from CV joints to a loose brake dust plate. Anyone have this issue with a hydro-power steering equipped 135i? Any help appreciated! |

I think anyone who has pushed the car through its paces has heard the ticking. I hear it coming from both the right and left wheels. Removing the wheels and retorquing the lugs seems to help for a few weeks/days but the ticking always returns. If someone has a definitive explanation/fix, i'd love to hear it.

Many of us have had the ticking, including myself. Simply removing and reinstalling the wheels and torquing (with a torque wrench) the lugs seems to eliminate the ticking.
I think it is from incorrectly torqued lugs, which cause the rotor hats to warp/flex. No one has 100% confirmed what it was, but R&R the wheels seems to fix the ticking most of the time. |

88 ft-lb for wheel bolts
I've heard clicking turning before from crap in the OEM brake pads. Usually reversing quickly then jamming on the brakes dislodges particles or crap that's in there. If it's at low speeds it can be a whole bunch of things and you have to go through your suspension parts and make sure they're all torqued properly. If it continues, it's likely a bushing or insert in suspension geometry. Currently I hear loud clunks when I turn right. I've got a broken link somewhere in my tie rods and have ordered replacements. Things are bound to break. Hopefully what OP is going through is minor. |

I also hear strange noises when turning the wheel, but... once the car has warmed up ~15-20 mins, I no longer hear the sound when I turn. What do you guys think that's about?

IT IS WHEEL BEARINGS.... I have had it twice, first was driver side, then a few months later it was passenger...
After I changed them, it's gone
