Flat / Power Shifting When Drag Racing

For those that don't know, I'm not talking about the Flat-Foot Shifting (FFS) that comes on a JB4 or Procede. I'm talking about plain old throttle pedal to the floor and shifting with a manual gear box as fast as possible. Not fancy electronic ignition cut off etc.

Have you tried it at the strip? Is it effective with our cars? What was your experience with it? e.g. better times, trap speed etc

I get that it won't be at all good for the clutch or transmission etc but we're going drag racing right?

I'm just trying to find out the best way to get the ETs and trap speeds out there with a 6MT.
