I let the experts do that sort of thing mate, my spray skills are crap, ships side grey with a brush and roller is my limits lol

As for how it was done, I left my car with a mate and left it to him to do his job ....

Wow the black roof is the way it should look. Great contrast.

How do you like the suspension updates?

The KW's are great thanks mate, I am really feeling the benefits now after a few hundred miles, starting to mess about now with a few of my own settings, trying to find the in-between of comfort and sports which I think would be just about right for the crap b-roads we have in the UK.....

Mate I really don't know at this stage, I need to find out now a bit more on the Slek offering as the Vorsteiner is a 1x1 weave and CA tech over here are wanting something like £2k for a carbon diffuser lol will also check out the alpha-n as i am really wanting to keep it looking oem as much as possible so revozport's oem style carbon is also on the list......

Keep us posted!

What I am also liking about the alpha-n mate is the reasonable price and my next trip over to the ring, the guys are about 10min away.....could be the way to go I am thinking.....

I will forward on to you tomorrow the price on the revozport, I need to ask about the oem carbon jobbie and will let you know the price on the vorsteiner once ca get back to me....
Thanks, much appreciated - let me me know, am definitely interested. I think the carbon will look exceptional on your AW, less noticeable on my BSM but I think a nice touch. Am tempted to get my roof wrapped in carbon but it's already venture-shielded so maybe better to leave as is. My next mission is to find a slightly more sporty exhaust, ideally one that is a plug & play replacement that doesn't involve any cutting. Would love to have a wireless valve system, that lightweight titanium system from Germany that you posted looked interesting...

Sold my 993 instead and the 1M is staying in the stable for now. Been quite busy with work so have hardly any time to keep up but back now! Would you believe I haven't even put your mats in the car yet!!

Glad to hear you didn't sell the car in the end mate, smart move

I received an email back from CA Automotive in the UK re the
Vorsteiner diffuser, the price came to £2007 and an offer for 5% off the list price (not including deliver), to be honest I cannot justify the price for that part to be honest. Also it is a 1x1 weave where as my boot spoiler is a 2x2

RevoZport has quoted me £975 including shipping, it is a 2x2 weave, so a great price

I am going to send them an email regarding their oem style carbon diffuser

But I am really liking Alpha-N's diffuser as I am trying to maintain a factory finish look, I a should be heading back over to the ring shortly, the guys are just down the road so could sort it all out while over there.......around the 600quid mark...

I love the Revo Diffuser! So aggressive, but the Alpha N is a lot sleeker...

Just wished someone would offer the actual OEM one in CF.

C'mon BMW, you have CF diffusers for 1er, 3er and 5er.

OK, that's right. Is it the same 2x2 weave as the BMW stuff?

It is a 2x2 weave and not a 1x1, all BMW carbon is 2x2 so you should be good to go......

It is not at all mate

It’ll be £546 shipped, 2 weeks to produce and about 4 days for delivery to your door

You can choose to pay by paypal (4% surcharge), or bank transfer.

Ken has been very quick to respond and helpful.

Hi mate, I believe they do matte and gloss finishes.

Do you know what finish BMW cf parts come in?

Yeah they do mate, the BMW carbon parts come only in a clear gloss lacquer but you can always have a good paint shop easily change that for you....

That price is excellent, looks like a bargain. Provided its as close to OEM finish and they accept a return if unhappy with how it looks then I'm sold.

I am still awaiting a reply from alpha-n with their price as I am liking what they have to offer as the centre does cover up the back box.

BMW M carbon is 1X1 (ie M3 roof)

BMW performance carbon is 2X2 (ie CF 135 parts)

Are there differences in manufacture between 2x2 and 1x1 weave, is one stronger than the other, easier and cheaper to make? You would have thought the performance parts would match the roof on the E92.
