M3 control arm track increase & tension arm idea
Hey everyooone
Has anyone measured the track increase from the M3 control arms? How much longer are they than stock? It's easy to find info on the camber increase, but I can't find any info on the track increase... Also wouldn't the ultimate setup for track driven cars be the Meyle HD tension arms, with the bushing replaced with a spherical bearing? Due to the HD having a larger stronger ball joint on the knuckle end. On the OE & M3 tension arms, the rubber bushing would take most of the shock, so replacing it with a spherical bearing would put more strain on the outer ball joint... therefore having a HD outer ball joint would be ideal! And since there's no geometric difference between M3 & non-M3 tension arms (please correct me if wrong), this would give the best result. I.e. performance & longevity Last edited by tree233; 05-27-2018 at 10:45 PM.. |
