The pipe is nowhere near as important as what one smokes in it

working on getting the car from the owner, but he has been busy this week. Hopefully should have it today to get some nice clips put together!

I rode in this car a few days ago, and all I have to say is that it is a beast. Exhaust sounds incredible and it didn't seem to drone much at all. Great work Daniel.

Daniel has been wrenching on my motor for two years now and I will not let anyone else touch my car. He is very reliable, trustworthy, knowledgable, and friendly. It is great to see he designed his own product that has proven itself for the N55 community. I highly recommend Daniel for hire. His customer service is up there with Burger Motorsports!!!

The car sounds mean!
The DP/midpipe design makes so much more sense instead of the ypipe transition to the stock catback. Btw, I can vouch for Daniel and RSI. I've gotten nothing but excellent customer service from him and I will definitely be going to him for some custom fab work next year

Actually, I am glad that that is a concern because it does not drone at all.
The video demonstrates the tone of the exhaust well - it shows that it is a loud raspy sound as opposed to a low bass carrying mono-tone. We actually amplified the waveform slightly in some shots to present the sound of the system better. The rolling shots were done with the windows down on a mountain road with low walls on either side. The 3" design acts much like a large resonating chamber where the tone is able to mix well and cancel out these low tones. Of course the system still screams, but it is manageable. There is no low resonating bass tone, just a lot of BMW character - There are times when driving the car that it slightly reminds me of the E60 M5 with an exhaust...but of course then you hear a turbo spool that is audible even when your foot is off the accelerator

Since your shop is in Irvine, I can probably drive down there to hear the sound in person when product is ready. |

I agree on the E60 M5 sound. Even though I've never heard your DP in person, my friend has another DP and I can make out the sound you are describing. And yes I'm a little jealous.

my M3 and the 135 are both my DD. and to be honest, even though the 135 sounds wayy louder than my M3 with Akrapovic outside, the cabinet noise is only slightly higher compared to stock N55 with no drone.

Our main goal is breaking 400whp for the N55 community. With BMSs new intake, some aggressive re-mapping, and meth injection. So far our dyno numbers are on an otherwise stock 135i

Just to clarify and I will add to the main post - The system is a full 3.5" downpipe to full mandrell bent 3" midpipe. The axle-back is still stock (stock muffler) - for those looking for an even louder tone can install an aftermarket axle-back since the stock exhaust is flanged in 2 sections.
