Dirty Pix of my E90 with 18" snows

For all of you that wonder if you need to get snows. Here is some pix with the wheels and tires I got from Tire rack. No problems at all this winter, even on the ice.

I guess it is useless to wash your car in the winter for those who live up north...

Great "reality pics"!

Rims are just for the winter. Better than spending $500 each for the BMW wheels or some other BBS or such just so they can get destroyed in the winter. I agree, I really don't like the wheels but ya gotta take the good with bad up here in snow hell.

Tires are Blizzak LM-25

Paid a grand for all 4 of them with the wheels, so not a bad deal in my book.

true true, i think i'm gonna go with the same logic as you though actually, when i order my E90 i'm going to order it with winter tires on the 162s and then get some DPEs with summer tires for the summer. (i'm saving up for those DPEs BTW, damn expensive )

great deal on the rims though!

I didn't see those rims on the tirerack.com configurator. Where did you find it on the site?

how come you guys dont just use the oem rims and just buy tires? over the time of owning your car, you will swap tires out about 6-7 times? that cost about $300-$350. rather than spending $500 extra for rims.

Rims are discontinued. There are some Milli Miglia (something like that) that look about the same but I think all the prices went up since I bought them. (October)

The car is a 330I with sport pkg.

Here is the wheels that I was going to get but they were out of stock when I went to buy them.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Displ...t+Silver+Paint

Anyway, the tires are the real reason I wanted to put this on here. I see that they do not have any avail on tire rack now so they must be out of stock. The reviews I read put these at the top of the list and they are worth it. I think the DSC has a little to do with it too.

why spend the money and hassle of getting them changed? Not only that the winter can make the wheels look like crap. This way I just put in on the jack at the house and put them on myself.

I don't like to take tires off on and on the rims if I don't need to. Chance of damageing the rims or the tires. Especially run flats.
