TagMan,
LOL, I changed the wording just so people don't get confused and get all defensive (which seems to happen a lot around here). I think 8:23 is a solid guess. It would quiet those 335i guys a bit also. btw, nice to see some other pcar owners on here. Nice car! |

Yeah, I think I know the one you are referring to. On Supercars.net? One of the members there has done a great job of putting together a list. I looked on there but I couldn't find anything for the 135i yet? |

There was a side note for the new Nissan GT-R:
7.38* -- 161.63 km/h -- Nissan R35 GT-R, *company test driver Suzuki, slick cut tyres, track partially wet Damn!! :eyebulge: That car is on another playing field. Totally sick piece of machinery. |

The 135i will be ever so slightly disadvantaged with the 7.5" fronts I would think, although the e-diff could make up for it. It will be lucky to best the 335's time. I hope it does.

I agree. The 7.5" fronts might come into play a little here. Seemingly little things like that can make a difference on a track. You can imagine the uproar from the 335i guys if it does post a better time... |

Yeah what happens on here also happens on the Ferrari boards. People feel the need to have to justify their decisions by finding ways to belittle others. Just the basic insecurities of human nature. It's hard to swallow when your new $300,000 Ferrari gets it's doors blown off by a big "ugly" coupe with a Nissan badge... |

Using Motor Trends comparison to the EVO as a guide:
20.6Km=12.88 miles. This is 4.7 times as long as the 2.74 mile course in the Motor Trend test. If the EVO gained 3 seconds per lap, you multiply this by 4.7 times and add it to the EVO time for a total of 14 seconds which yields 8.26. I suspect the real time if they use stock tires will be like 8.24 given longer straights. This is a fast road car set up for real driving conditions. Might be converted to a decent track car if running against similar cars (i.e. not computer controlled 4WD). Wish there were better real world measures. Track doesn't measure what most will actually utilize in terms of daily performance metrics. -Spook |

BTW, GT3 is absolutely terrific! Curious... in your opinion, how harsh is the ride?

I'm not sure I trust any times for the Nürburgring. Almost all of the times collected and pieced together and calculated because it's close to impossible to get a full, closed lap. Even then we're talking about different drivers on different days.
No matter what it's just what one dude did on one track on one day. I don't think you can break down how good a car is by putting them in a list of times for such a venture. It's anecdotal at best. |

According to this it's slower on the track than a BMW 330 or an Audi S3. That is highly unlikely. I don't think this is credible data. |
