Someone stole my kidney grills

I parked in a parking garage downtown tonight and when I came back my kidney grills were gone. What the fuck...

Wow. Those were a little bit of a pain for me to take out with those stupid clips. They'd also need to pop the hood and remove the torx screws..I can't imagine doing all of that for grills. Maybe they ripped them out? (breaking the clips and rendering them useless?) That sucks though.

Actually, you dont. Removing the rubber seal and those torque screws have nothing to do with the grills themselves. They are pointless extra steps. Why remove screws that are no where near the part you are working on?

All you need is a hooked tool and 5 minutes. Some people have even managed to just pull hard to get their grills out. I wasnt that brave swapping out my grills.

They were aftermarket matte black grills

they were probably just ripped out.

I was parked next to an e46 M3, so im thinking maybe that asshole took them because he thought they would fit his car.

Lol you'll see them on eBay being sold as 3 series grills.

At least it's only a $100 thing tho

Good point..I used a screwdriver on the bottom ones, so I could probably have used a screwdriver on the top ones. I wouldn't call it pointless though. Removing the rubber seal just allows you to get a finger back there and pop them off easier (for me anyway).

Sorry man.

Watch e-bay for a pair of black kidney grills with broken clips (cheap).

Nobody said criminals were smart.

I'm frightened to bring my car back to the US... What's wrong with people? I'd only expect that type of behavior from less developed nations.

Considering that he has a University of New Mexico logo as his avatar, I'd guess it was some d-bags much closer to where you live.
