LUX H8 V5 Error!! SOS!!!!
Hey guys, I'm not sure if i'm posting this thread in right section but i really need someone's help right now. I keep getting this error sign on my car and it disturbs me sooooo much! As far as i know that it's because of poor installation but i installed it correctly and stick the adjustable kit on the right spot of headlight cover!
Is there any possible way to re-install correctly? Anyone got some pictures to show me? Can I codded it out? How much would it costs to codded out?? I drive E82 2008 135i M pack Please help me out guys... Thanks Last edited by Bimtism; 04-17-2015 at 05:46 PM.. |

This is just a failure of your adaptive lights being able to move freely within your headlight housing. You can hit a pothole or a large bump and you might be fine and then hit another one later and the problem will return. I'd suggest take the backs covers off and placing some automotive grade, double-sided tape in the bottom part where it's recessed a little. Make sure to stick the module in there and you'll be fine. Definitely nothing wrong though, so don't panic. Now go chew up them knuckles.

Reposition the ballast and make sure the covers are on properly! Water/condensation creeping in can give you the same message.

Give this a try:
courtesy of 1AddictsAnonymous http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...7&postcount=28 1. Cut this peg, and sand smooth. I cannot see any purpose for this peg with the function of the headlight, it literally is floating in mid air once the cover is re-installed. My assumption is that this is part of the fabrication process. Don't mind the crack in the upper portion of the rear cover - damage from shipping. $35 for a new cover which I would be buying anyway to replace the worn seals. 2. Fasten your ballast with double sided tape, velcro, etc. 3. Install - this is how it will line up.
