Sure the diagrams referenced below don't feature what you're looking for ?

http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...81&hg=18&fg=10 (downpipes - precatalyst)
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...86&hg=18&fg=10 (downpipes - lambda probe fixings)
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...70&hg=18&fg=10 (midpipe)

IIRC the studs themselves are not available separately, they are a part of the DP's. Are you planning on having to take it apart often? Worse case scenario you could cut the stud out, drill out the backing and replace it with a bolt and nut like those found on aftermarket DP's.

If it gets to that point, it wont matter anyhow. studs or bolts, you wont be able to get them out and the flanges will be shot, too.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you fell like changing them out with bolts and nuts, that you will in turn change out every so often again to prevent corrosion. It will take many years to get THAT bad.

Yea... mine were kind of rusty and tight too. I just soaked the threads with some WD40 for a while before trying to loosen them. WD40 or Liquid Wrench is your friend.

RealOEM.com says the nut is a M8. So the stud threads are probably M8 x 1.50 thread pitch. It could be M8 by 1.25 as well, but I think its 1.50. I believe I used a 13mm socket for the M8 nut.

I coated the threads with some high temp copper anti seize... just to make life easier next time I go in there.

I fitted an N55 mid pipe this last weekend, luckily I'd purchased 4 new flanged nuts.
The lower two nuts were pretty much seized after 11K miles and 14 months.
We ended up chiseling them off. The thread looked to be M8 X 1.0 or 1.25 (didn't need a die so didn't establish exactly what it was)
The top two nuts which hadn't been exposed to road salt and water, came off with no problems.

The studs will be a press fit into the downpipe itself (and hence aren't listed as separate part no) possibly with a straight knurl to make them an interference fit.
