1M at Panel One in Sydney
Well there's at least one brand new AW 1M still awaiting delivery in Australia. Saw it today sitting in the car park at Panel One in Alexandria. Still has the factory stickers, seat covers, door protectors, etc. No rego plates yet.
I assume Panel One were fixing some minor transit delivery damage for a BMW dealer, though I couldn't see anything visible.

They sold to all the super keen people ages ago. Now they've got unwanted stock.

He was joking. The car at Panel One was definitely a 100% BMW-issued AW 1M.

I actually contacted them to ask and from the answer I received, although they haven't done it yet, I believe they would actually do it. He just said it would be very expensive...
It would be pretty interesting to do on a vert...

Hmmm.... I reckon if done more tastefully it could look good but as others have said on the other threads the wheels, colour, and poor gap fitting make that example look kinda...not so good. Also doesn't help that it's apparently a 120d

Here you go Alex. I think this one is a little more tasteful but it's an M3 convert not 1M. Would look much better in a AW or BSM.

Though it looks like a render and not actual conversion I think.

Agree. I have seen the cars loaded on the ship: they actually wedge them against each other bumper to bumper with a piece of foam in between to stop them moving when the ship rolls.
Then they get driven off the ships, around the dock yards, then to get the PDI done. After that they get put on a truck to the dealer. So when you add all that up it's very common for them to pick up some minor damage. Customer is almost never aware. No harm no foul as long as it's not structural, etc.
